Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 2, 2026  ·  Last updated: August 2, 2026

This Privacy Policy applies to Drenched: Hydration Tracker (Android package com.truemakers.Drenched), published by True Makers (“we,” “us,” or “our”), referred to below as the “App.”

Summary: Drenched does not collect your personal information. There is no account, no sign-up, and no server that stores your data. Everything you log stays on your phone, and uninstalling the App deletes it. We have not included any advertising, analytics, or crash-reporting service in the App.

1. Information Collection

Information you provide directly

The App asks you for information so it can calculate a hydration goal and track your progress. This may include your weight, age, sex, activity or exercise level, climate, a name you choose for your cloud companion, and each drink you log. All of this is written only to storage on your own device — a local database and local preferences file. It is never transmitted to us or to anyone else.

If you choose to email us for support, we receive whatever you put in that message — typically your email address and a description of your issue.

Information collected automatically

None. The App contains no analytics SDK, no crash-reporting SDK, no advertising SDK, and no tracking or attribution SDK. We do not collect device identifiers, do not use the Android Advertising ID, do not profile you, and do not receive usage statistics of any kind. We have no server that could receive them.

The one network request the App makes

When the App launches, it checks whether a newer version is available by fetching a small public file hosted on GitHub. This request contains no information about you, your device, or your hydration data — it only asks for the file. As with any internet request, the host serving that file (GitHub, Inc.) can see the originating IP address and standard connection metadata. We do not receive, log, or store that information. GitHub's handling of it is governed by the GitHub Privacy Statement. Blocking the App's network access disables the update check and affects nothing else.

Information we do not collect

We do not collect your name, email address, contacts, photos, camera or microphone input, location, files, SMS messages, or call logs. The App does not request permission for any of these. We do not sell or share personal information, because we do not receive any.

2. How Information Is Used

The information you enter is used entirely on your device, to:

Because the App has no backend, none of this information is used for advertising, profiling, automated decision-making, or any purpose beyond running the App on your phone. Anything you send us by email is used solely to answer you.

3. Data Storage

All App data is stored locally on your device in a private application sandbox using Android's Room database and DataStore. Other apps on your phone cannot read it.

We operate no servers and hold no copy of your data. Retention is therefore entirely in your control: your data persists until you delete it. Uninstalling the App, or clearing its storage from Settings → Apps → Drenched → Storage, permanently erases everything — there is no cloud backup and no way for us to restore it.

Support emails you send us are retained for as long as needed to resolve your issue and keep a record of the correspondence.

4. Third Party Services

The App is built on standard Android platform libraries (AndroidX, Jetpack Compose, Room, DataStore, WorkManager). These run on your device and do not transmit your data to us or to third parties.

The App also bundles the RevenueCat billing library in preparation for a future optional paid tier. In the current release this library is never initialized and performs no network activity, and there is nothing to purchase. It transitively includes Google Play Services components; these remain inactive while the billing library is unused. If we enable purchases in a future version, we will update this policy first and identify the processors involved.

Sharing a Daily Card renders the image on your device and hands it to the Android system share sheet. Whichever app you then choose handles it under its own privacy policy — we are not involved in that transfer and receive no copy.

If you install the App from Google Play, your download and any future purchase are subject to Google's Privacy Policy. That relationship is between you and Google.

5. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since the App collects no personal information from anyone and has no account system, there is no data for us to hold about a child user.

If you are a parent or guardian with questions, contact us at sethr4814@gmail.com. Any data a child entered can be erased immediately by uninstalling the App or clearing its storage.

6. Security

Your data is protected by Android's application sandbox, which prevents other applications from reading it, and by whatever device-level encryption, PIN, pattern, or biometric lock you have enabled. Because nothing is transmitted or stored off-device, there is no server of ours that could be breached and no database of user information to expose.

The App's update check uses an encrypted HTTPS connection. That said, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Keeping a screen lock enabled is the single most effective way to protect the data in the App.

7. Health Disclaimer

Drenched is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. Daily goals are estimates generated from general formulas using the details you enter; they are not a clinical recommendation and may not be right for you. The App's overdrinking warnings are a general safety feature and are not a diagnosis.

Individual hydration needs vary with medical conditions, medications, pregnancy, and other factors. Consult a qualified healthcare professional before making changes to your fluid intake, and never disregard or delay professional medical advice because of something this App displayed. If you believe you have a medical emergency, contact your local emergency services.

8. Your Rights and Choices

Privacy laws such as the GDPR and CCPA give you rights to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict the processing of your personal information. Because we never receive your data, you exercise these rights directly and immediately on your device: all of it is visible in the App, editable in the App, and permanently deletable by clearing the App's storage or uninstalling it.

We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA and similar laws, and we never have. If you have a question about your rights, or want us to delete a support email you sent, contact sethr4814@gmail.com.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time — for example, if we enable the optional paid tier described in Section 4. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the “Last updated” date above. Material changes, particularly any change to what the App collects, will be announced in the App or on its Google Play listing before they take effect.

Changes are effective when posted here, and your continued use of the App afterwards constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
